The animals and staff at Freshfields made a new friend today! Lara Donald and her mum Jen came down to the rescue centre to meet us. Lara raised an impressive £70.00 on her birthday by being kind and selfless and requesting that people didn’t buy her presents but donated the money to Freshfields instead.
How lovely is that? It’s great to know children like Lara are not only taking interest in animals, but also that they are able to be this considerate and put the animals before themselves. What a brilliant example to set to others! Lara was given the VIP tour and presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by Freshfields’ Fox Man Paul McDonald.
