Zeb
28 Feb, 2025

Meet Zeb,

Zeb was adopted from us 14 years ago with his brother Zak. He was sadly returned as his main caretaker had died and the other person in the home didn’t want to manage their care.

On admission we saw that Zak was very overweight and poor Zeb was underweight. We made the difficult decision to split them so we could better monitor their food intake as we weren’t sure if Zeb was eating much at all as they were both very shut down and didn’t want to eat while we were around.

Zeb is showing signs of coming out of his shell and has a gorgeous purr when he has head rubs. A member of family from his previous home said that he used to sleep on the bed with them so we think Zeb will really appreciate bonding with someone and having a human to trust.

Zeb has obviously lived with another cat so possibly could again depending on the temperament of the cat and given slow introductions. He has been around children but we think he would prefer a home without any or with older ones. He would be fine with visiting children. Zeb has never lived with a dog and would like to keep it that way!

If you think you would like to offer Zeb a loving home, you can complete the cat application form and send it to the cattery at cattery@freshfields.org.uk
