Meet Nancy

This girl weighs in at approx. 20kg & came in due to the owners poor health & not having the strength to walk her.

Nancy is such a beautiful affectionate girl, loves a cuddle & loves to play.

She loves doing zoomies around our play field & never tires of playing fetch.

She is always happy to see the staff & volunteers & can’t wait for her cuddles.

She loves to go for long walks with our volunteers.

Nancy walks well on lead the majority of the time but she can be strong & pully if something catches her eye (usually other animals).

She doesn’t seem to have any issues around her food, not that we would encourage people to bother her whilst she is eating but she seems happy enough if you are around near her bowl.

Her previous owner has stated she can be left for short periods without issues however she wasn’t left for very long in her previous home & that she is house trained.

Nancy’s needs;

She will need to be the only pet as she can be reactive around other dogs.

Due to her breed they are well known for having a high prey drive so no little furry friends.

She would be better placed in a home with children over 12 as she can be a little excitable, she is all legs so younger children may, in her excitement, get knocked over/scratched.

She needs an owner who is willing to continue the work we have been doing around her reactivity with other dogs & we have a behaviourist who is happy to give guidance & advice.
