This gorgeous boy is Kai!

Kai was named by staff after as he arrived at our kennels after being found as a stray by a member of our team. Unfortunately, he was not microchipped & no owner has ever come forward. 

Due to Kai being a stray we will be looking for a home without children & with him seeming to be Lurcher type (more Whippet size though, weighs in at around 19kg) no cats or small animals to be on the safe side.

When Kai first arrived he had some trauma with regards to his eye. After seeing our vet it was determined that he had a fractured orbital bone. This has since healed really well & is no longer on any medication.

Kai has such a sweet nature, he loves human company & finds kennels life extremely stressful. For this reason Kai stays with a couple of our amazing volunteers part of the week & the are currently working on his distress when being left alone slowly building up the time he is alone. Initially Kai will need someone who is home most of the time & someone who is willing to continue to work on his anxiety.

He loves getting out & about on walks, he walks really well on lead – no pulling. That being said he is also a complete snuggle bug & loves nothing more than to curl up on the sofa with you.

Our volunteers who have him at home, have stated that if their circumstances were different, they would adopt him themselves as he is an absolute dream, you don’t even know he is there most of the time as he loves to snooze. When they initially took him home he was a little nervous but he soon came out of his shell. He is house trained & is an affectionate loving boy.

He is good on walks & has met a few dogs on his travels most he’s ok with but if they shout at him he will shout back.
