We have some beautiful senior dogs here at our shelter, some of whom have been waiting for quite some time for a loving home to retire in.Unfortunately, there are so many misconceptions about senior dogs, such as thinking it would be hard to bond with them or that you can’t “teach an old dog new tricks”.However, senior dogs truly have so much love to give and will soon bond with someone who cares for them. Our senior dogs at Freshfields are much loved by staff and volunteers alike and are incredibly sweet when you take the time to get to know them.Senior dogs are also capable of learning new things and they teach us, as humans, so much too. Our senior dogs here at Freshfields often surprise us with what they can do!To live in a gentle, relaxing home where they are loved is all our senior dogs want. Help our Hogs! Our hedgehogs need somewhere cosy and safe to hibernate. A wooden rabbit hutch is ideal. Please donate a single or double tier hutch to help them survive the cold winter. Donations can be dropped off at our Liverpool branch any day between 12pm - 4pm. Thank you!
